Roy and Ethel have been married for thirty-nine years. They have three children
and two grandchildren.
Roy has been a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist for thirty years.
He has been an ordained minister for twenty-eight years and served as a pastor in
the local church until 2004. He now serves as Director for Strong Marriages International.
He is a Clinical member of the American Association of Marriage and Family Therapists
and the American Association of Christian Counselors. Roy?s work with pastors and
churches is to both equip and empower them in developing strong and effective marriage
ministries utilizing Prepare/Enrich, Couple Communication I and II Programs, which
are for both pre-marital and marital couples.
He is a Training Associate for Interpersonal Communication Programs teaching, training
and mentoring couples who want to become certified Couple Communication instructors.
Roy is also a Seminar Director for Prepare/Enrich equipping pastors and counselors
in using these highly acclaimed assessment inventories.
Ethel is a Certified Neuroscience Registered Nurse who retired in 2004 to partner
with Roy in this marriage ministry. Her neurological skills have helped keep Roy?s
head on straight and his brain in tact. Ethel enjoys participating with Roy in leading
Couple Communication seminars and retreats.
MISSION
To encourage and strengthen the relationships of pastors and their spouses and to
empower leadership couples in the local church, nationally and internationally, to
develop an effective and sustainable marriage ministry.
OBJECTIVES

To provide consultation and/or counseling to pastoral couples.

To teach and preach on the biblical values of marriage and the family.

To conduct marriage seminars, workshops and retreats.

To educate, equip and empower leadership in the local church with a healthy marriage
education program.

To train qualified couples to become certified in the internationally regarded programs
of PREPARE/ENRICH? and COUPLE COMMUNICATION?

To mentor leadership couples in organizing, facilitating and overseeing healthy marriage
education programs.

To donate educational resource materials to low income and need based groups in the
United States and in developing nations.

To participate in partial funding of specific projects with churches in developing
nations.
